around 1952 and is optimized for bridge class 60\/30. The pipes for district heating of the Stadtwerke Duisburg put an additional load on the construction. By removing the concrete road and flagstones the bridges dead load could be reduced. Because orthotropic plates were installed the bearing capacity of the stiffening girders could be increased.
