);\n\t\t});\n\t\t<\/script>\n\n\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>New construction \/ expansion of a pulp mill in Stendal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Client: Zellstoff Stendal GmbH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Customer: Metso Paper Pori OY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2003 the pulp mill in Stendal was one of the biggest new construction projects in Germany in the last years.\u00a0 We planned the Boiler building on behalf of the Metso Paper company from Pori in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>Especially the woodchips silo of 300t should be noted. It is installed in a height of +30.00m on top of the building. The light room under the silo must be kept clear for the conveyor belts. This means the silo cannot be supported directly. In consideration of the building deformation we were able to design a very economical and spacial building structure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our performances:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Pre-planning and co-ordinating the mechanical planners<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Static calculations<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Formwork and Reinforcement drawings<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Steel construction drawings<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Manage tendering process<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Participate in allocations of contracts<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Construction supervision<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Accounting control and inspections<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Expansion<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The existing boiler building (built in 2004)\u00a0became to small so it had to be expanded by two extra boilers. This was already considered in the foundation plannings of 2003. However the steel construction had to be erected with an expansion joint in front of the existing building. In order to avoid settlement differences the gable wall was founded on piles.<\/p>\n<p>The new part of the building is paired lengthwise with the old part.
